Deputy Manager

• Ensure that the rights of the young people are upheld and promoted at all times in accordance with the principles of choice, respect, dignity and privacy.

• Ensure that all issues relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and/or adults are reported according to policies and procedures and in accordance with the safeguarding policy.

• Ensure that if there are significant changes to individual service users’ needs these are raised with the Service Manager.

• Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Heartwood Care’s policies and procedures.

• Conduct formal key work sessions with allocated young people and produce detailed reports for each session.

• Promote young people’s involvement in all areas including service delivery, quality assurance and organisational development.

• Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal colleagues and external bodies alike.

• Would you be flexible to work on a shift pattern?

• Do you have a Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent diploma?

Experience:

• Children’s Residential Care: 2 years (preferred), * NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.

• Children’s Residential Care experience (2 Years)

• Understanding of OFSTED Regulations and compliance Requirements

• Able to demonstrate an understanding of social emotional and behavioural difficulties and how these may impact the lives of the young people that we support.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Weekend availability, This is not a 9-5 position, You are expected to work on a rota and cover some weekends., * Fully Funded Training Programme
