The Role involves providing an excellent customer experience to all passengers travelling on the Irish Ferries services from Dover to Calais. Main Duties include:
- Checking in of Freight, IMDG Cargo and Passengers (using Irish Ferries system)
- Reservations, Sales, and Administration duties
- Marshalling and directing traffic for loading and discharge at various locations on the Port of Dover
- Vessel Husbandry, including Forklift Operations
- Operate a hand-held VHF radio
- Assist in Baggage handling requirements for foot passengers
- Passenger and freight terminal operations
- Comply with the DHB and Dover Port safety and security requirements
The successful applicants will be self-motivated with a hands-on working approach, flexible with working hours as shift work is required, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. Competence in the use of IT Systems and Hardware is essential.
