General Manager required. Our client, a leading Logistics & Distribution firm based in Hertfordshire, is actively hiring for a General Manager (Multi-site role) to join and lead their operation. The role is paying circa £55k and offers a car allowance on top.
Logistics General Manager Job Overview
- Oversee and enhance the efficiency of multi-site operations, ensuring seamless coordination and performance optimization.
- Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and professional development to managers and teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Direct and oversee all warehousing, transport, and fleet operations to achieve operational excellence and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and uphold industry best practices in operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and health & safety standards.
- Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with clients and key stakeholders to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Logistics General Manager Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years in a senior-level logistics management role, preferably within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
- Extensive experience in pallet distribution, domestic UK, and European transport operations.
- Proven expertise in overseeing and ensuring compliance with transport regulations, including Health & Safety standards (FORS accreditation preferred).
- Strong financial acumen, particularly in managing budgets, profit & loss statements, and cost control within a logistics operation.
Logistics General Manager Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary circa £55,000 DOE
- Car Allowance on top of salary
- Monday to Friday (core hours 17:30 finish)
