Summary of the role

Ensuring Diligenta as a regulated entity, and in its operation as an outsource provider, has appropriate systems and controls in place to mitigate the risk of financial crime (including money laundering). The successful candidate will Deliver FCU input into Diligenta and client led change and project activity to ensure financial crime risks and controls are adequately assessed, ensuring alignment with Diligenta risk appetite and controls standards.

What you’ll be doing

  • Acting as the central point of contact within FCU for the collation and reporting on change activity internally and to our clients. This will include input into internal and client MI reporting processes.
  • Where required, overseeing and managing the input of the wider FCU team to support the delivery of change activity.
  • Providing input to annual planning activity to ensure known upcoming changes are adequately planned and accounted for in annual planning activity.
  • Operating as a Subject matter expert, providing advice and guidance to Financial Crime Unit and project staff and acting as referral point for queries.
  • Providing input and approval for changes to the design and review of the Financial crime risk management control framework as part of the change control process.
  • Ensuring any changes to Financial Crime related policies, training, procedures and/or guides resulting from change activity are identified and implemented as part of change activity.
  • Supporting Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance on Financial Crime matters relating to the general change process, or on specific pieces of change delivered.

What we’re looking for

  • Recognition as an expert in financial crime systems and controls.
  • Understanding of anti-financial crime and counter terrorism legislation. (JMLSG, FCA, POCA, FATF, MLR 17 etc).
  • SME Experience supporting delivery of change activity in a financial services environment.
  • ICA qualifications in Financial Crime or change management would be beneficial
  • Ability to provide pragmatic solutions which consider the needs of the business and those required by regulations.
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory and legislative requirements into the change process to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
