EDU-SKATE: Free Summer Skateboarding Programme, Surrey Quays Posted: 2nd July, 2024This summer, Skate Haven CIC is hosting a free skateboarding programme, \”Edu-Skate\”, for young people aged 8-16.Sessions are 2 hours, twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. There are 10 sessions in total, including a one-week break in August. Young people with little or no prior experience with skateboarding are welcome to enrol. There is limited availability in the programme and we will enrol on a first come first served basis.The programme is part of a UCL-Goldsmiths research project. Research is being undertaken by Skate Haven CIC co-director, Miguel Nyberg.Participants who complete the programme are rewarded with their own brand new complete skateboards from Alien Workshop.
