Are you looking to ignite an exciting career within the education sector? If you are a fully qualified English Teacher/Tutor/Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is looking to work on a part-time basis in the South Shields area, then this role may be for you!
For this role, we are looking for a English Specialist. In this position, you will need to be able to build a relationship with these students to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences. In addition to this, these Y10/Y11 students are needing catch up help as well as GCSE support, so a patient and motivated individual is required for this post.
The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils will need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.
Requirements for the role:

Professional Teaching Qualification (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).

An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).

A strong subject knowledge of the English Curriculum.

Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.

A professional and approachable approach to education and teaching.

Willingness to travel between various schools.

Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.
