Director, People Business Partnering – D&A Engineering Operating at the intersection of business and people strategy, the People Business Partner is a highly matrixed global role that requires you to work in a cohesive and collaborative manner with your business leaders, as well as the broader People function, to drive the strategic people agenda. This role will provide People Business Partnership to multiple leaders at Group Leader and Group Director level, within the Data & Analytics (D&A) Engineering team (c2560 FTE). You will be responsible for shaping and driving the ambitious people strategy across the division, whilst bridging the gap between technical teams and the people team to foster a high-performance engineering culture. Engineering has embarked on an ambitious transformational strategy, and you will be at the forefront of leading the execution of this to deliver business results. You will be responsible for leading large-scale change, partnering across the function to drive key talent acquisition, enable employee development and ensure the retention of high performing engineering talent. The role is based in London and will report to the Group Director, D&A Engineering. Major areas of accountability Build strong relationships with leaders across multiple teams to ensure a deep understanding of their strategy and goals and develop long-term people plans to enable these. Partner on the design & implementation of the organizational design required to build an effective and inclusive environment. Collaborate with engineering leadership to deliver the strategic workforce plans that are fit for purpose for both the short- and long-term. Align people costs spent with strategic workforce plans. Partner with leaders across the group to reinforce and embed the LSEG values and engineering principles. Influence and coach leadership teams to reflect, evolve, transform, innovate and lead talent. Lead efforts to build a diverse and inclusive environment where EDI is a key strategic driver. Understand the functional strategy and effectively partner with business leaders to design a talent approach that enable business growth. Use organizational health and business performance insights to design and implement action plans that contain appropriate levers (leadership, management practices, rewards). Build and strengthen the talent pool through comprehensive talent management including succession planning, talent flow and career management, talent acquisition and onboarding. Use Performance & Reward frameworks as an appropriate driver of organizational performance. Work closely with the business to instil a high performing culture. Use metrics, analytics and tailored interventions to drive people performance. Work cross functionally to develop, deliver and promote central initiatives that drive the business success. Operate with a boundary less attitude and reach across teams to support the broader success of the organization; create and share best practices; be a change agent. Capability requirements Track record of designing and being accountable for the delivery of a global people agenda; leading and motivating change programs across several functions and geographies. Experience working across all elements of the People agenda, including organizational design, change management, performance and reward, employee relations and culture. Transformation expertise with ability to challenge the status quo to inspire change. Strong ability to influence and coach senior business leaders. Track record of successfully partnering with global business and people teams. Experience working with large scale global organizations, preferably within Engineering and product teams. Ability to analyse and leverage data to help leaders make informed business decisions. Confident with tools and technologies; from Office to collaboration platforms.
