Job Opportunity: Project Manager Refurbishment (Commercial Project)
Location: Hastings
Salary: £325 – £350 a day
Contract: 18 months
Our client is a leading main contractor specializing in high-quality refurbishment projects. With an established track record of successful projects in both public and private sectors, we are seeking a Project Manager to lead a key refurbishment project: the transformation of a public sector building with a construction value of £1.5m.
Role Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the project, managing all aspects from inception through to completion. This will involve overseeing a wide range of tasks, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with the client, stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project ensuring it meets all specifications and requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the project.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective solutions to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Oversee quality assurance and compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage procurement, contracts, and subcontracts to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status and changes.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry, with a focus on refurbishment projects.
- Previous experience managing projects of a similar scale, ideally in public sector refurbishments.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, construction processes, and relevant building regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and project risks effectively.
Must have a valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification.
