This role will focus on Test and Inspection of client’s automotive products and certification and homologation needs.

This role is responsible for completing all aspects of regulatory compliance testing and reporting on client products using EC/ECE regulations, CCC standards etc.

We require experienced candidates well-versed in automotive product certification with focus on all aspects – safety, emissions, etc.

Job Description

  • Meet the test and certification requirements for clients for type approval and certification by selecting correct routes for type approval.
  • Perform tests for certification of products – vehicle and systems to applicable international regulatory standards and regulatory compliance regulations; advises customers of non-compliance.
  • Develop test strategies and test plans to verify standards, compatibility, functionality, performance and reliability.
  • Validate proper design and operations of product features as defined by functional specifications.
  • Report and track defects found during testing. Record test data, technical information and other details. Generate and revise test documents and reports (SOP’s, datasheets, methods, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain professional relationship with customers. Participate in and promote process improvement
  • Liaise with European type approval authorities in supporting the client applications for type approval.
  • Perform other duties and complete other special projects as required.

  • Knowledge of EC/ECE regulations and international regulatory standards and approval requirements.
  • Knowledge of homologation and type approval routes within Europe and other markets
  • Ability to travel to client sites including mainland Europe. Valid driver’s licence required.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlines and work on own initiatives
  • Proficient in MS Office tools

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent technical education and directly-related experience.

Experience :

  • A minimum of 3 years of directly-related test experience evaluating automotive products in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Experience with EU Directives & UN ECE Regulations
  • Experience of working for a type approval authority / technical service preferred
  • Experience of dealing with automotive clients for type approval requirements
