Finance Officer- Belfast- Charitable Sector Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with a local Charity based in Belfast. Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial management for the company and will be responsible for the management of one part-time Finance Officer. Daily Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for the external finance company providing payroll and management accounts. Assist in the completion of the monthly payroll and ensure all changes in rates or methods of paying SSP, SMP, Tax, National Insurance and Pensions are in line with legal requirements Review and analyse monthly management accounts and financial reports Monitor income and expenditure against budgets and forecasts Support the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts Develop and implement new finance systems when needed To manage the organisations Purchase, Project and Nominal Ledger Ensure payment of supplier\’s invoices by the due dates Essential Criteria A minimum of 2 years\’ experience in a Finance Environment AND a Financial Qualification OR 4 years\’ experience working in a finance environment at a similar level Experience in sales and purchase ledger Knowledge of financial accounting software packages such as Xero or QuickBooks Desirable Criteria: 2 years\’ financial experience working within the charitable sector Job Details Full-time permanent Flexible working options Hybrid working options 25 days annual leave plus 11 statutory (increasing by 1 day per year of service up to 30 days per annum plus 11 statutory days) Pension contribution of 4% If you would like further information of this role, please apply via the link provided.
