Project Manager – Offshore Consent Compliance Project Manager – Offshore Consent Compliance Location: ScottishPower HQ, 320 St Vincent Street, Glasgow. G2 5AD Salary from £54,800 with up to 15% Annual Bonus and Single Healthcare Permanent Flexible/Hybrid Working Arrangements Purpose ScottishPower Renewables is at the forefront of the development of the renewables industry through pioneering ideas, forward thinking and outstanding innovation. Our ambitious growth plans include further offshore windfarms in East Anglia and in Scotland with our Development Team leading the Group’s consent compliance and land project management for all UK offshore developments. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team to manage offshore consent compliance activities, focused at this stage on our East Anglia Two project which is consented and moving into the execution phase. You will hold a key role within the Offshore Development Team, leading the delivery of consent compliance project management support for offshore elements of large-scale offshore wind projects in the UK reporting to the Senior Project Manager. Progressing forward, this role has potential to cover early phases of project development and consenting of offshore windfarms, but also pre-construction and construction related activities or any area of consenting, consents compliance for offshore windfarm projects covering both onshore and offshore elements. Leading and managing a number of multi-disciplinary teams will be a key feature of the role. Establishing, fostering and maintaining team spirit and morale through periods of intense workload and activity will be a critical feature. Communication is another key feature of this role, should it be communications with regulators, local communities or our consultants. You will be working as part of a global business based in the UK. The position will require frequent travel to various site locations. You will be involved in the discharging of consent and marine license conditions, defining and managing surveys works and mitigation, managing package consent commitments, obtaining new licenses / permissions as required, auditing project compliance with commitments, statutory stakeholder engagement, community engagement, project financial approvals and budgetary control. Responsibilities Agreeing, managing and forecasting necessary budgets, you will be responsible for the production of work scopes and specifications for delivery at all stages of a project, managing the completion on time and to budget. Managing consultants and legal inputs as necessary, you will input to all commercial agreements and contracts, ensuring project risks are mitigated whilst managing tender processes and tender assessment for surveys, studies and technical support, taking forward recommendations for business approval. Contributing to the identification and management of risks, issues and impacts to projects, you will work with the wider Offshore Development Team to ensure effective liaison with national government and regulatory authorities, ensuring high levels of quality control and that projects maintain highest levels of health and safety standard. Managing the risk registers (and associated contractual material), disseminating accordingly, you will attend kick-off meetings and survey meetings to ensure contractors and project staff are aware of all obligations within consents. Completing and maintaining accurate records in accordance with the company’s document management procedures, you will be required to complete monthly reporting, contractual and management support through any consent / development related process and any additional contracts as required. Liaising and coordinating with engineering packages, consultants and contractors to deliver design, surveys, consenting and construction, ensuring compliance throughout all phases of the project, you will work with Stakeholders, Environment and Land Managers as appropriate. Managing ScottishPower Renewables representation to other development application processes which may impact assets, you will manage consent compliance processes in line with the agreed schedules and budgets, leading consultation with regulators and key stakeholders where necessary whilst leading and participating with the identification and implementation of compliance. What you’ll bring Educated to degree level or possessing equivalent experience within an Environmental Management, Planning or Environmental Engineering environment, you will possess a relevant professional qualification and hold relevant experience within development consent and/or consent compliance for major offshore infrastructure project activities in the UK. As an excellent communicator (written and verbal), you will be IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software. Flexibility is required to travel around various UK locations when necessary.
