Our client, who are an Independent freight forwarder, are looking for a Sales and Development Executive to join their team in Tilbury, Essex.
As Sales and Development Executive, you will be tasked to support the Business Development Managers by helping out with warm leads and sourcing your own business leads.
Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (Apply online only) hrs
Salary: Up to £35,000
Job responsibilities:
- Source your own business leads and act on those provided by Sales and Operations colleagues.
- Generate new sales, this includes FCL / LCL sea freight, air freight and road freight, import and export.
- Work flexibly, both in the office and out in the field.
- Ability to bring in own transferable business a definite advantage.
- Able to complete quotations with correct clauses.
Role requirements:
- Ideally at least 2 years' experience in selling sea and air freight in a forwarding environment.
- Must be UK based with right to work (No sponsorship is on offer).
- Experience of sales and development.
- Good overall knowledge of the Global freight industry.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and friendly personality.
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong and dynamic team player.
- Excellent English and Maths skills.
