BLASTING TECHNICIAN – (ROPE ACCESS) LOCATION: ABERDEEN/ OFFSHORE DAY RATE: £DoE plus TRAVEL DAY & ACCOMODATION DURATION: 6-12 MONTHS ESS Recruit is working in partnership with our client, a major supplier of fabrication machinery and machine tools to the metalworking industry to source a Blasting Technician for a project starting in March. Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: * Abrasive/UHP blast and paint/coatings to decks, piping, structural steel, vessels, tanks (internal/external). * Working knowledge of coatings applications and surface prep methods. * Operate various power tools/robots in accordance with company safety policies. * Prepare, operate and inspect blast pots and spray pots and pumps. * Ensure enough onsite material is staged for the day’s operation. * Understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures. * Adjust to work-related demands without becoming frustrated. * Demonstrate willingness for continuous self-improvement. * Correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with customers. To be considered for this role you will ideally have level 3 Rope Access certification and demonstrate the following: * Proven experience as a Blasting Technician or similar role in a related industry. * Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment is advantageous.
