Operate a Counterbalance Forklift.

Responsible for all loading/unloading of plant.

Prepare, maintain and clean equipment, using a pressure washer where required.

Check that orders are correct before dispatch to a customer.

Ensure plant is stored and stacked correctly and safely.

Complete and record required equipment checks/inspections both periodically and prior to dispatch.

Accurate recording of both inward/outward stock movements on a daily basis.

Inspect equipment for any damage in accordance with our quality control standards.

Complete accurate stock checks as directed, reporting any discrepancies direct to the Depot Operations Manager.

Observe general yard/workshop discipline, promoting a high standard of behaviour and an adaptable approach to tasks allocated.

Maintain clean, tidy and safe working area(s), ensuring all equipment and consumables are stored in the appropriate manner.

Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment.

Counterbalance Forklift – current valid license highly desirable but not essential.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency

Physically able to lift and manoeuvre heavy objects.

The role is based in a busy yard environment, with regular exposure to the outdoors.

The role requires frequent lifting, bending and manual handling.

The role may involve working at heights, using ladders and stairs.
