Title: Payroll Coordinator – office based * Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 * Transport: Own transport is required due to the office location Job Overview: You will oversee the daily production of accurate payrolls and provide a customer-focused service, Responsibilities: * Convert Excel spreadsheets with hours and rates into CSV format for seamless importing into the payroll system * Import CSV files into the payroll system while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. * Collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager and Registrations Team to ensure smooth operations. * Manage incoming calls effectively and escalate if necessary * Resolve payroll discrepancies and explain payroll concepts to employees/clients. * Keep payroll weekly and additional payment sheets updated. * Cover Payroll Manager in their absence. * Payroll processing: generate Trials / Journals and produce payment schedules for BACS payments. * Process weekly payrolls and additional/payments, review client billable expenses and ensure all figures balance * Manage all aspects of statutory payments and deductions/process information for external parties/ensure RTI submissions and Pension Contribution files are exported. * Always adhere to the company’s policies and procedures. Person Specification * Payroll experience (mandatory) within the umbrella sector (desirable) * Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a strong understanding of data manipulation and analysis, ideally acquired while working at an umbrella company. * Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
