Role: We are seeking a Junior Platform Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our platform infrastructure. As a Junior Platform Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers to deploy, monitor, and scale our cloud-based systems while ensuring reliability and performance. This is an excellent role for a motivated individual looking to take the next step in their career in a dynamic and fast-growing sector. Responsibilities: Assist in the maintenance of our AWS cloud infrastructure Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability Implement security best practices and assist in maintaining compliance with industry standards Participate in on-call rotations to respond to system alerts and incidents Document procedures and configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to cloud computing and infrastructure automation Management of Staging environment to reduce the amount of errors in the Production environment Input into tools and processes to automate the operational activity required to keep the platform running smoothly Requirements: Skills: Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC Experience with Linux based systems Familiarity with monitoring management tools such as Cloudwatch and Nagios Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies Experience of Confluence and Jira is an advantage Benefits: 25 days holiday increasing to 30 days after 2 years Private health insurance (after probationary period) Share options Enhanced Family Leave Cycle to work Allowance of £50 per month to cover the costs of home-working Perkbox: A range of outstanding employee discounts Access to EAP Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
