GRADUATE PROGRAM FACTS
- The graduate position is permanent and full time from day one.
- Your first 6 months is a structured and highly supported training program. During this time you will gain exposure to many areas of the Research & Development organisation.
- You will have a dedicated mentor/coach, (we call them Graduate Success Coaches), to support you through the program.
- You will have access to very talented people that you can learn from.
- Once you complete the graduate program you will join one of our Feature Crews as a fully-fledged member of the Research & Development division.
- The recruitment process is an initial online technical assessment. If you are successful following this you will be invited to a 45-minute interview via Zoom with a member of our recruitment team. This is followed by an assessment day taking place in April.
- The start date of the position is 1st September 2025.
LOCATION
The job is office based where we employ a hybrid model with a high degree of flexibility. Although people are welcome to come into the office full time, teams typically work in the office two or three days a week, and from home two or three days a week. In the initial months of the Graduate Scheme you will be expected to be in the office five days a week.
THE ROLE
The Software Engineering role involves working in a Software Development team of five to six people. You will use software development processes influenced by Lean and Agile methodologies to develop, enhance and maintain software on the Salesforce platform. There is a strong emphasis on high quality, continuous test automation and delivery.
Activities carried out are diverse and can include Software Development, Test Automation, Technical Design, Code Reviews, Estimating, Planning, in fact all the tasks associated with the production of high-quality Software Features.
You will get the right tools to do the job, for example, a MacBook Pro comes with the role. When in the office the environment is relaxed with a casual dress code, free snacks, breakout areas and rest spots including a wellbeing room and a games room.
Every employee receives 24 hours per year to dedicate to charitable activity and make a difference in the community. As an engineer, you will have personal development time set aside each month to work on projects of your choosing.
From time to time, travel to other offices may be required depending upon project requirements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- It is important that you have a true passion for writing Software code.
- You will have experience in an Object Oriented (OO) language, such as Java or C#.
- Knowledge of Javascript and HTML would be beneficial.
- You enjoy analysing and solving problems.
- You want to understand Software Systems design and structure.
- An ability and desire to learn new skills and technologies.
- You can work independently and as part of a team.
- You can communicate technical ideas & designs both verbally and in writing.
