A leading local Construction business is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team based in their Plymouth office.
This role is to oversee and coordinate the accounting function of the business while supporting the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Director
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of accounts administration including maintaining accounts administrative systems
- Create reports, monthly VAT returns, overseeing purchase & sales ledger
- CIS monthly returns
- Processing monthly end payments to sub-contractors/clients
- Monthly end VAT reporting
- Accounts processes, sales ledger, purchase ledger
Experience & Qualifications required:
- AAT level 2 minimum
- Experience of accounting software and working within a similar role
- Ability to handle a wide variety of situations and problems
- Knowledge of accounts processes, sales ledger, purchase ledger and administrative principles of an accounts department.
- Problem solver and can work alone or within a team
This is a permanent role with free parking and close to good transport links in Plymouth.
