Job Description:

This is an exciting, collaborative, new post between the Mohn Centre for Children’s Health and Wellbeing and West London Children’s Healthcare. Both organisations value the contribution of children, young people and their families in its work, whether that be research or healthcare services. This post has been created to support public and community involvement, engagement and participation (PCIEP) activities in both research and healthcare settings.

You will be responsible for supporting, organising and facilitating PCIEP activities with children, young people, families and the wider community, contributing to the work of the Mohn Centre and West London Children’s Healthcare. You will work with children, young people and their families, involving them in ongoing research projects at the Centre as well as engagement/co-production work on patient safety initiatives such as Martha’s Rule.

We are looking for a collaborative and creative individual with strong relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will have experience of delivering and facilitating public involvement activities with members of the public and community groups.
  • You will have an understanding of the necessary processes and safeguarding in the context of working with children and young people.
  • You will have the ability to create and deliver creative approaches to ensure the voices of children and young people are heard and used for public decision making in NHS, research, or community settings.
