Job Purpose/Overview:
Our Analytics team are at the core of data-driven decision-making and recommendations which shape the future of NATS and the aviation industry. This is a rare opportunity to join our award-winning team at a Lead Analyst level.
This specific role will support the advancement of suitable use of AI and Machine Learning, data and real-time analytics to ensure NATS has the timely data-driven insights needed to deliver the long-term strategy. Applicants should have thorough knowledge of AI/Machine Learning, data and analytical tools/technologies/techniques (being expert in at least one of these) and their application, with awareness of future landscapes.
Other Duties:
This role will provide you with an interesting mix of delivering technical work to inform decisions for our stakeholders alongside involvement in the more strategic aspect of developing the team’s technical capability. As a Lead Analyst, you will actively collaborate with others to deliver optimal results, encouraging and leading staff to propose innovative approaches to enhance and simplify long-term solutions.
You will proactively help to develop the team’s technical skills via a combination of training provision, working alongside technical community leads, keeping abreast of relevant technical developments and actively shaping the delivery of our technology roadmap. You will help coach colleagues to develop a high standard of technical capability and moderate different technical viewpoints. You will be able to represent technical topics with credibility in relevant forums and build external networks.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Applicants should have expertise in deriving business value within complex domains and a good degree in a numerate subject (or equivalent experience). It would be beneficial to have an understanding of the aviation industry, regulatory and commercial environment and the information required to drive operational performance. Experience relating to real-time analytics would be an advantage.
