Overview

Compass Associates is excited to be collaborating alongside a renowned Children’s Care and Specialist Education provider. They have a portfolio of Residential Services, Specialist Schools and Activity Centres for children and young people with complex needs such as Learning Disabilities and Autism, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, or have experienced trauma and CSE.

Together, we are looking for a Clinical, Forensic, Counselling or Educational Psychologist with a passion for working with children. You will be providing direct clinical work, assessment, supervision and training while collaborating with a friendly therapeutic team composed of Therapists (composed of other Psychologists, SALTs, OTs, Creative Arts), Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Psychologists with a common goal to make a difference in these children’s lives; all while receiving able support from their Clinical Lead and Associate Clinical Director.

Work Pattern

Managing your own diary, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, but can be flexible with a 4-day condensed contract.

Location

This is a hybrid role, so you will work remotely with travel across the Portsmouth area. The homes will be commutable from Southampton, Winchester, Bournemouth, Petersfield, Guildford, Chichester, Worthing and other surrounding areas and towns. Travel is typically when needed, working week can look like 2/3 days working from home or 2/3 days working out in the field (depending on the needs of the region).

Criteria

  • HCPC Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, Educational and Forensic)
  • Experience of working within a Children’s setting such as within Education, Residential or CAMHS

Interview Process

This will be a two-stage process both via Teams, with the 1st stage informal meeting with one of their Senior Clinicians, to get a good understanding of the role. 2nd stage will be with both Senior Clinicians, and competency based.

Salary and Benefits

The Psychologist role is paying up to £63k per annum depending on experience and qualifications + Mileage, and includes an industry-leading benefit package:
