Simmons Adaptive is the flexible resourcing team for leading international law firm, Simmons & Simmons.

Main purpose of the role:

Simmons Adaptive are looking for a mid-senior level leveraged finance lawyer for a client in London. This will be a full time role with a hybrid working pattern.

Day to day duties include:

  • Advise on commercial banking transactions and projects with a focus on LFO;
  • Advise on deal structures, securities, guarantees covenants, subordination and intercreditor issues;
  • Assist with internal risk management compliance;
  • Keep up to date with relevant regulatory and legal developments;
  • Assess legal risk and ensure the business is protected.

This assignment is due to start in December 2024 or January 2025 and will run for 6-12 months. The client is seeking someone full-time with hybrid working available.

Person specification:

  • You are a qualified lawyer with at least 4 years of transactional banking experience;
  • You will have experience working with leveraged finance transactions;
  • You will have experience of banking and corporate law, in particular LMA and leveraged finance documents;
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate complex analysis in a clear and concise manner;
  • You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines;
  • You can work autonomously but can also collaborate as part of the wider team;
  • You will be required to hold the relevant right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
