Job Description

Pricing is one of the core squads at Wise and it’s responsible for providing a platform and developing solutions that enables the onboarding and calculation of fees, taxes and discount for all our products.

Our mission is to enable teams across Wise.com and Wise Platform to charge customers the right price that supports sustainable growth.

Pricing Delivery is responsible for enabling new features, partners and changes to prices. Team is also responsible for ensuring reliable, consistent, and transparent information about the same.

What’s in our roadmap:

  1. Develop new capabilities and onboard new products for Wise.com and Wise Platform
  2. Develop reliable and scalable communication pipeline for price changes
  3. Design and develop solutions that aim to automate and scale existing processes and introduce new controls in order to reduce risks and costs
  4. Develop internal tools that facilitate the onboarding and rollout of new features and partners and contribute towards creating a reliable and automated reprice process

What does it take:

  1. A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
  2. Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  3. Experience in working with relational and non-relational databases and schema definition
  4. A strong focus on building scalable and maintainable solutions
  5. A strong focus on building good quality code and knowledge of Domain Driven Design and the main design patterns
  6. You have solid knowledge of Java, or similar OO languages
  7. Have experience in working with a microservice architecture, distributed and concurrent systems
  8. You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback
  9. You have experience as a full-stack developer or are not afraid of diving into front-end development if required

  1. You’ll have onboarded and found your place through understanding your team and tribe vision and how you can contribute
  2. You’ll understand how our values can help you guide your work
  3. You’ll understand the reasons behind problematic payments and customer difficulties and how to go about solving them
  4. You’ll be raising the automation level to enable scaling of the product
  5. Understand our customers and the impact our product makes in their lives. You’ll help us scale-up and build a world class pricing product by finding solutions to our technical challenges and opportunities
