Here at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust we provide a full range of district general services, including 24-hour urgent and emergency care, specialist children’s services, maternity and community midwifery to the population of North Derbyshire and beyond – more than 400,000 local people. We also offer Royal Primary Care services through three GP practices with eight surgeries between them in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire. We work closely with our partners across health and care as part of the Joined Up Care Derbyshire system.
It is an exciting time to join our Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response team at Chesterfield Royal that sits as part of our Wider Operational Team. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown just how vital our Emergency Planning function is and we’ve taken steps to continue to re-structure and grow our dynamic team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful foundation trust with a strong commitment to delivering the highest standards of clinical quality, patient care and staff experience. We are looking for individuals who will live our Leading the Chesterfield Way behaviours and ensure these are embedded in our Emergency Planning activities, alongside our Trust strategic priorities and values.
Responsibilities:
- Enhancing the Trust’s readiness for emergencies.
- Developing emergency response strategies and ensuring compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
- Refining and testing response and business continuity plans.
- Supporting the delivery of specialized training to staff for emergency management.
- Representing CRHFT in regional and national training exercises.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and update policies.
- Assisting in developing business continuity plans across departments.
The Business Continuity Officer’s contributions support maintaining the high standard of patient care at CRHFT, particularly in emergency situations.
