Job Description: Inclusion Specialist Global Talent Management & Inclusion Team Europe Reporting into the Global Talent Management & Inclusion Team, the Inclusion Specialist will lead the design and implementation of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategies and initiatives to foster an inclusive culture at Rakuten in the EMEA region. The Specialist will collaborate closely with regional Steering Committee (\βSteerCo\β) co-chairs at an HR and business level, while championing Rakuten\βs Shugi Principles, which form the core of our corporate philosophy and guide our actions and decisions. They will be the main point of contact between internal and external consultants to align on strategy and ensure our practices strive to be innovative and effective. Key Responsibilities: Support the development of quarterly EMEA SteerCo content and agenda, facilitate quarterly meetings, and follow up with notes. Coordinate with ERGs on key Inclusion topics for the region, identify status and key metrics for SteerCo-sponsored projects/initiatives/partnerships. Ensure our practices and culture reflect the aims of our regional Steering Committee goals. Work including, but not limited to: Provide local D&I expertise and insights from SteerCo priorities to local business units and HR teams. Partner with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to develop programs and events that support Rakuten\βs Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, ensuring they reflect our commitment to the Shugi Principles. Collaborate with the Communications team to regularly communicate internal and external D&I initiatives, events, and progress. Manage programs that ensure all D&I initiatives align with and promote our Inclusion Vision, Mission, and Rakuten\βs Shugi Principles, fostering a culture of empowerment, innovation, and respect. Analyse and report on key diversity metrics and provide actionable insights to inform strategy and decision-making. Lead the design and execution of an annual ERG/EDIC Summit, enabling diverse talent to network, engage in forums, and access tailored training and development programs aligned with career progression goals. Develop, implement, and facilitate an inclusion learning and awareness strategy for all levels of employees through leveraging Talent Development content (e.g. manager training, functional training). Qualifications: Minimum 2-3 years of prior training and/or related human resource experience. Current knowledge and understanding of Diversity & Inclusion best practices in the EMEA region. Strong program and project management skills with a proven track record of creating and communicating a clear project plan and keeping stakeholders informed. Demonstrated self-initiative and attention to details. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into implementing solutions. Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships internally and externally. Proficient in Microsoft Office (with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint), Slack, Teams, Workday, Qualtrics. Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitation/presentation. Strategic thinker with a passion for driving change. Comfortable managing through ambiguity to define clear road maps, recommendations, plans, and processes. Experience working with a global or multinational organization is a plus.
