About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Multimodal Freight Forwarder to join our industry leading client in Hull. This role involves handling predominantly Air, Sea and Road freight operations from start to finish. The ideal candidate will ensure all shipments comply with UK and international customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process import and export operations for Air, Sea, and Road freight.
- Quoting and Pricing, ensuring best rates are secured.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and customs requirements.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies.
- Manage customs documentation and duty/VAT calculations.
- Stay up to date with CNS, Destin8, Cargowise, CDS, CHIEF, and industry regulations.
- Provide customer updates and resolve customs-related queries.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Freight Forwarder in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of multimodal freight (air, sea, and road).
- Proficiency with customs systems (e.g., CDS, CHIEF, Destin8, Sequoia).
- Understanding of commodity codes, duties, VAT, and trade agreements.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
