The role
Reporting to our Managing Partner, the Account Director will be part of our talented and passionate team, overseeing account operations and providing strategic leadership on communications for corporate clients across industries. This role is responsible for developing and implementing internal, integrated communications strategies, ensuring the successful execution of client campaigns within budget and deadline, delivering output quality and managing relationships to deliver exceptional client service.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client accounts, maintaining strong, proactive relationships
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of communication campaigns, including internal communications, social media, digital, and content marketing
- Understand client business objectives and align communication strategies to meet goals
- Present recommendations, ideas and budgets to clients for approval and manage expectations throughout the project
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to meet specific client objectives
- Guide the creation of compelling content across all media format and communication channels
- Stay informed on industry trends and innovative communication tools to inform client strategy and recommendations
Project Management
- Oversee team workflow, ensuring quality and timely delivery of all projects and initiatives
- Oversee account budgets, ensuring that all projects are delivered within scope
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages growth, creativity and results-driven performance
Essential skills and experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in corporate communications is essential
- Agency experience with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proven client management skills, with the ability to grasp client needs rapidly, build trust and develop strong relationships
- Strong project management; comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to think strategically and conceptually while managing the day-to-day details of client work
- Expertise in developing multi-channel communication strategies
- Strong writing and storytelling ability
- Exceptional team player capable of collaborative or independent work as required
- A finger on the pulse of industry trends and a commitment to continuous professional development
- Strong social media management (LinkedIn) with experience in managing content strategy, implementation, analytics and reporting
- A passion and aptitude for design
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with strong proofreading ability
