Are you an IT Professional, with experience in delivering PLM solutions, looking for your next challenge? Here at JELD-WEN UK, a global organisation that produces and manufactures Doors and Doorsets, we’re looking for an IT Project Manager. This pivotal role is offered on an 18-month fixed-term contract basis. Reporting to the Head of IT Corporate Functions, this role is responsible for the successful delivery of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution as part of the European Product Data transformation in the UK and Austria.

The IT Project Manager will lead the end-to-end implementation of the PLM system alongside our chosen vendor, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget, while aligning with business objectives and global IT governance standards. The role will serve as a key liaison between functional stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure clarity, accountability, and successful execution of the PLM initiative.

What your impact will be:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the PLM Product Data Transformation project.
  • Ensure adherence to the JELD-WEN IT PMO Stage Gate Process and standard project delivery methodologies.
  • Work together with data architect to ensure delivery of data definitions and governance.
  • Gather detailed business requirements and conduct RFPs with vendors.
  • Drive business case development to validate ROI and secure project funding and resources.
  • Manage the coordination of internal teams and third-party providers to ensure PLM solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment meet agreed specifications.
  • Oversee project governance activities, including scope, schedule, budget, change management, risk, and quality assurance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders and provide regular status updates to senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and transition plans.
  • Ensure a smooth transition to Business-as-Usual support and facilitate the realisation of expected business benefits post-implementation.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Previous experience and skills in IT Project Management, across the project implementation lifecycle.
  • IT and/or Project Management related qualification desirable.
  • Experience of delivering IT Projects in a global Manufacturing/ Production environment would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with product development processes, engineering change control, and lifecycle data management within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong vendor management experience across multiple geographies and business functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong results orientation and commitment to delivering transformation outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build trust and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and organisation, with a structured project management approach.
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable operating and communicating with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar PPM tools.
  • Small amount of travel may be required between UK, Austria and Germany over the 18-month contract.
