Our well-respected and established client is seeking a talented, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join their firm as a Compliance Assistant. This role is a part-time position, working 3 days a week in the office. If you have previous experience working as a Paralegal or Fee Earner and are looking to strengthen your knowledge and experience within Compliance, this role could be exactly what youβre looking for!
Responsibilities:
- Updating policies and procedures including AML & GDPR
- Dealing with initial responses to complaints and ensuring the complaints process is followed
- Providing general admin support within the compliance department and maintaining compliance documentation and registers
- Undertaking file reviews and managing the process
- Responding to routine compliance queries
- Monitoring for and escalating potential compliance issues as appropriate
Requirements:
- Strong legal background such as working as a Paralegal, Fee Earner or AML Compliance Officer
- Good understanding of SRA rules and regulations
- Dealing with quality standards such as Lexcel or Conveyancing Quality Standard
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work with confidential information discreetly and professionally
- Great time management skills
- Self-motivated, outgoing and proactive
