We are seeking a Graduate Chemical Engineer with experience in Oil refinery/Energy Markets to work as an Asset Economist within a London Planning team.
The role involves working closely with Oil refinery and trading teams to optimize refinery feedstock and product strategies, considering economic, operational, and logistical factors. The successful candidate will utilize Linear Programming for cargo economic evaluation, benchmarking, refinery operating plans, and special studies.
The role covers the full crude-to-customer supply chain, optimizing various aspects of this system.
Education/Experience:
- Chemical Engineering degree required
- LP Model experience preferred but not essential
- Prior LP experience demonstrating ability to frame and resolve oil planning opportunities
- Strong understanding of refinery economic drivers, constraints, and capabilities
- Engineers interested in LP planning or experienced LP Planners are encouraged to apply
- Experience in refinery operations/support roles is strongly preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly
