Boiler Engineer – Lewisham – £50,000

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Boiler Engineer to join one of the UK\’s leading independent building services maintenance providers in London and the South East.

Due to expansion, growth, and a very strong order book, they are currently looking for an experienced Boiler Engineer to join their passionate team at a static site located in Lewisham. The package on offer is up to £50,000, with plenty of overtime available.

The Boiler Engineer will be responsible for planned service and maintenance visits, as well as reactive breakdowns. This includes PPMs, reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repairs of commercial boilers, chillers, HVAC, and heating systems across various commercial sites.

Responsibilities

1. Perform planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance tasks, and reactive investigations/repairs on commercial gas-fired systems on site.
2. Service, test, diagnose, and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to building services gas-fired plant and equipment.
3. Carry out repairs, modifications, and installations of plumbing, heating systems, and hot/cold water services using various piping methods.
4. Undertake and implement minor capital works projects where required.
5. Implement and comply with company procedures as detailed in the IMS, Health & Safety Policies, and statutory obligations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

1. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (including recognized apprenticeship) with a commercial gas/heating bias.
2. Gas Safe registered for commercial gas installations.
3. Hold the following certifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1/1A, CPA1, CCCN1, COMCAT1.
4. Experience in maintenance and setup of gas-fired burners and radiant tube heaters.
5. Experience in maintaining gas pressure regulator installations (PRIs).
6. Gas Safe registered for catering and domestic installations.
