If you are looking for job security, great rates of pay, and an array of different working hours to suit most people, then lorry driving could be for you! Road to Logistics is a not-for-profit training provider, offering FREE training to gain your HGV licence, with a pathway directly into employment with one of our partner employers. We are currently working with the London Borough Barking and Dagenham Adult College on a new programme supporting the Thames Freeports initiative. We are looking for individuals wanting to gain their HGV licence, and have employers ready to offer jobs once you have completed the programme, To be eligible, candidates must: *Live in the Barking and Dagenham area of London *Have a UK driving license for at least 12 months and be at least 19 years of age *No more than 6 points on the license *No driving convictions resulting in a ban in the past 10 years *You can be working but MUST be able to take the time to do the 8 day classroom and 5 day driver training, as well as revising for your theory. Most importantly, to qualify for this FREE training, worth around £4,000, leading to jobs offering salaries of £40k a year on average, we need you to be committed, hard-working and able to invest your time and efforts into completing the course and starting a new career as a HGV driver. In return you will be rewarded with a true profession, an ever-changing view from your office, autonomy and the scope of a full and rewarding career in logistics
