We are now recruiting for an IT Technical Engineer.
As part of this team, you will provide remote & onsite support and installations for customers ranging from SME to enterprise. This will include troubleshooting, configuration, and installation of solutions for customers in a variety of sectors.
We are looking for an IT Field Engineer with strong experience in network infrastructure installation and configuration, as well as expertise in server and desktop support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with setting up and configuring routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and network equipment including servers from major vendors.
Principal Responsibilities/Duties:
- Either remotely or onsite, undertake maintenance work on customers’ ICT services, updating case management and field services tools with work undertaken and completed.
- Either remotely or onsite, provide installation and configuration services for a wide range of ICT solutions.
- Either remotely or onsite, provide high-quality customer experience in relation to the installation or maintenance of a customer’s IT or Telephony services.
- Provide remote or onsite support for colleagues where required.
- Liaise with the project management teams, 3rd Line Engineers, and Service Desk Engineers on a regular basis.
- Audit and document client infrastructure.
- Either remotely or onsite, support the delivery of small, medium, and large projects as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in an IT or Telecom Support or Delivery role.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours or stay overnight on larger project work.
- For field roles, a full valid UK driving license is required.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with the Microsoft technology stack including Windows Desktop, Windows Server, M365.
- Network equipment installation and configuration experience with major vendors such as Draytek, SonicWall, Fortinet, Watchguard, Meraki, Cisco, Unifi, Netgear, HP Aruba.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to implement infrastructure solutions that meet client needs.
