Field Installation Manager (Windows & Doors)
Job Title: Field Installation Manager (Windows & Doors)
Reporting to: Operations Director
Location of Work: London, Surrey, Hertfordshire & Essex
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for weekends and additional hours as required.
Job Purpose: The Field Installation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the installation processes of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to high standards of safety and quality. This role involves managing multiple projects concurrently, maintaining strong relationships with clients and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation Operations: Oversee installation operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Client and Team Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and installation teams. Liaise with the site team to ensure timely window deliveries and sufficient materials for continuous work.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Conduct toolbox talks as needed.
- Meetings and Communication: Attend and contribute to customer meetings, providing progress updates and addressing issues to the management team. Ensure effective communication and documentation of project progress and issues.
- Contractual Management: Maintain the company’s contractual position including original conditions and variations. Resolve technical and site issues balancing contract achievement with business needs.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in field management, particularly in Windows and doors and Composite window & door installations.
- MTC or FENSA Skills Card certification and First Aid certification are advantageous.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex on-site situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong negotiation skills, resilient and tenacious.
- Skilled in handling and managing demanding client expectations and high-pressure conditions.
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
