Construction Manager

PSR Solutions are recruiting for a Construction Manager to work on projects between Portsmouth and Reading. This will be working on CP7 packages, which will include track and track side civils and drainage.

Responsibilities:

• Based out of the Depot covering the Wessex patch.
• This will be on a long term basis and they have got plenty of work on CP7, so they can always move you onto different projects.
• Looking after 2-4 different projects at once.
• Organise suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve efficient integration into the Plan.
• Plan day to day requirements of the Project works Package to produce effective use of all resources to minimise snagging.
• Carry out team briefing/debriefing of plan and task requirements, ensuring lines of command are clear.
• Ensure correct positioning/sequencing of plant and equipment for optimum use by on-site teams & personnel.
• Enact plan requirements, monitor site circumstances, conduct risk assessments, re-plan work to optimise output.
• Identify potential contract variations to Construction Manager and PM.
• Control and implement health, safety, quality and environmental requirements, supported by full briefing.

Essentials:

• Experience working with Rail and Civils projects in the past.
• PTS.
• Engineering Qualifications: Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• AutoCAD Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise in AutoCAD for precise project planning and execution.
• Experience: Proven experience in rail construction projects, particularly in depot enhancements, refurbishments, and new builds.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in relevant engineering software, with in-depth knowledge of rail industry standards and regulations.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, enabling quick and effective resolution of challenges encountered during project execution.
• Leadership: Proven leadership capabilities, motivating site teams to work collaboratively and ensuring a productive and positive work environment.
