We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Asset Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance and Compliance (FMC) Unit. This role involves providing finance processing and administrative support to the FMC function. You will work closely with and be managed by the Finance Asset Supervisor, supporting and guiding/liaising with FMC staff on procurement, undertaking the responsibility of being first point of contact for FMC Estates/Faculty colleagues for key internal and external stake holders and supporting both E&F and other colleagues through provision of information for operational finance.
The Role
Key responsibilities include providing finance and administration support within FMC, provide advice within area of expertise on a routine basis, checking accuracy and processing of FMC claims, commitments, purchase ledger issues and overtime/payroll claims and working across operational boundaries to support the wider FMC Support team.
To be successful, you should have a Financial/Administrative qualification (HND/C or Higher) or have a significant experience in a similar role and be AAT qualified or working towards. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), SharePoint and Teams essential. Strong communication skills both written and verbal and excellent organisational and time management skills, alongside excellent customer service skills when communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as a team. Experience of working with CAFM systems, in Public Sector Procurement and Power BI would also be desirable, but not essential.
