Are you an experienced accounts receivable professional with a sharp eye for detail and a solid grasp of revenue recognition? We’re hiring on behalf of a well-established business looking for a Senior Assistant Accountant to support their finance team. Based in a brand-new head office in North London, this hybrid role offers the chance to work across a dynamic, fast-paced organisation, supporting key client accounts and month-end reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit monthly income returns for major clients
- Raise sales invoices and allocate cash receipts accurately
- Investigate invoice discrepancies and support income reconciliations
- Post journals with correct nominal and VAT codes
- Reconcile bank accounts weekly
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Liaise with Sales and Account Managers to analyse unbilled labour and expenses
- Support wider finance team and Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks
Essential skills and experience:
- AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
- 5+ years in a finance role within a medium-sized business
- Strong experience in accounts receivable and revenue recognition
- Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Detail-oriented, organised, and deadline-driven
Desired:
- Experience preparing statutory and management accounts
- Familiar with SAGE 50/200/Intacct
- Experience working with large data sets
