About The Team:
SRUC Veterinary Services is a leading provider of veterinary and animal health services in the UK. Our team of experienced veterinarians, scientists, and animal health experts provide disease surveillance in Scotland. We support veterinary, agricultural, and pharmaceutical industry clients and offer diagnostic testing for farm livestock and companion animals.
The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about the veterinary and agricultural industry? Do you have a knack for marketing and business development? SRUC Veterinary Services is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Marketing and Business Development Officer.
In this role, you will promote our range of products and services, focusing on our industry-leading livestock health schemes with around 7000 farmer members. Your efforts will help increase our income and expand our client base throughout the UK, primarily focusing on England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Marketing and Business Development Manager in promoting products and services focusing on Livestock Health Schemes.
- Organise Health Scheme Advisory Group Meetings and consult with Breed Societies and national bodies.
- Identify business opportunities, process leads, and assist with customer enquiries.
- Support the production of promotional and technical materials.
- Represent SRUC Veterinary Services at livestock and veterinary events.
- Regularly update the CRM database and use it to contact clients.
- Update the SRUC Veterinary Services website and use digital channels to raise our profile.
- Book adverts and articles in Breed Society Journals.
- Travel to selected events in the show season and attend several conferences, farm walks, and vet meetings (a company car will be provided).
Qualifications:
- Essential: HND Qualification in a relevant subject such as Agriculture, Animal Science, Marketing, or similar.
- Desirable: Degree Graduate in a relevant subject such as Agriculture, Animal Science, Marketing, or similar.
Eligibility for Sponsorship:
This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. If you are a migrant worker, you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
