Director at Better Placed Ltd. Ecommerce, Marketing and Digital expert

We’re working with a large retail business recruiting for category managers / trading managers / pricing and promotion managers (the job title is varied according to the company you have come from but the job is really exciting!).

Essentially you will be responsible for making sure that the right product proposition, ranges, and promotions are offered to their customers and that these are executed effectively.

You will:

  1. Support the overall delivery of the annual category sales and profit targets
  2. Manage and agree a promotional proposal and update the systems with promotional and deal information
  3. Work closely with suppliers on the promotional plans
  4. Select an effective wholesale range and suggest any additional wholesale specific requirements where needed

The roles will suit people with:

  1. Experience of working in a retail buying environment or a wholesale environment
  2. Good commercial acumen with a customer focused mindset
  3. Availability to ideally start work within 1 month notice (the roles are 12 month contracts with the possibility of going perm)

Please apply with a CV if you’ve worked in retail HQ / Wholesale in trading, buying, category control etc and have the availability to travel to Manchester / NW England and can work in a hybrid offering 2 x days per week in the offices. This will not suit someone who cannot travel to the location of work – and is not suitable for someone with only in-store retail experience.
