Are you ready to make a difference in the water & waste industry?
As Senior Project Manager , you will lead the delivery of programmes of change from initiation through to service transition, matrix managing all project resources and managing relationships/deliverables with third party providers and internal stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for supporting the Programme Manager in the delivery of the overall portfolio, including supporting with scoping, definition, and management of resources across the team.
Your responsibilities include:
- Successful delivery of IT/Business programmes and projects including estimates, plans, resource management, schedule, scope, requirements, solutions, budget, and deliverables.
- Motivation and leadership of team members, driving engagement through guidance, technical support, and coaching.
- Quality Assurance of project deliverables across the programme/project, ensuring all artefacts are produced in accordance with PMO processes and guidelines.
- Supporting the Programme Manager in the allocation of resources across the teams.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders across business and IT.
- Maintaining and communicating interdependencies from their Project within and across the Programme, contributing to the Portfolio cross dependencies.
- Full budget accountability for their programmes/projects.
- Resource management of your team and supporting resource allocations across teams.
- Supporting the Programme Manager to build a team by recruiting Project Managers or Analysts to deliver the Programme/Projects in their area of responsibility.
- Full responsibility for delivery of their own programmes/projects.
Skills and experience needed:
- PMP, Prince 2 or equivalent certification
- Agile qualification or experience
- Demonstrable experience in managing IT projects and delivering medium and large projects
- Experience of procurement and management of 3rd party suppliers for services, software, and infrastructure
- Experience of working in a matrix function alongside Business, Service Architecture, Operations, and Security functions
- An outcome-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrable experience of managing portfolio/programme deliveries
- People management experience including performance reviews, career development, coaching, and mentoring
- Experience of managing Project Managers in the delivery of simple, medium, and large projects
