We are looking for an Occupational Health & Wellbeing Manager with a passion for delivering excellent and innovative Occupational Health & Wellbeing services.
You will deliver effective leadership, build good stakeholder relationships, and develop a strategically aligned and value-based organisational culture to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Team.
- Drive forward the delivery of our Wellbeing Plan (2024–2027).
- Provide professional guidance and support to managers and employees on all aspects of Occupational Health to help contribute to reducing sickness absence.
- Play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of occupational health (OH) services, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.
- Proactively champion our wellbeing offer, fostering greater engagement across the workforce.
- Implement, develop, and embed health & wellbeing strategies, proactive wellbeing initiatives, and interventions in line with the Council’s vision to ensure the mental, physical, social, and financial wellbeing of our employees.
The Person:
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills to ensure managers actively support and promote the wellbeing initiatives, embedding them into the organisational culture.
- Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- A commitment to supporting organisational change, whilst upholding the council’s values.

Requirements:
- Educated to relevant degree standard plus relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Occupational health, employee wellbeing, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and best practices.
