Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) to recruit a Store Design Executive to be based in the London Offices reporting to the Store Design Manager/Senior Store Designer . The ideal candidate will have a strong technical design knowledge and a passion for retail design and understand the current luxury beauty industry. This role is on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Apply and adapt Global Store Design Concept Guidelines to regional stores and counters across airports, aquatics and other duty-free areas in EMEA.
- Produce concept sketches, presentation drawings and technical drawings to communicate design intent for internal approval, external retailer approval and work closely with external contractors to review and approve construction drawings prior to manufacture.
- Drive innovation at store level and build in store brand consistency within the region.
- Coordinate internal/ external project validation.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, shopfitters and retailer partners to provide locally relevant designs to be designed and installed on time and budget.
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure successful integration of Visual Merchandising needs in navigation, digital tools, display and collateral elements.
- Lead in sustainability and strive to make our counters environmentally friendly by introducing recycled and recyclable materials, sourcing and producing locally and collaborating with other regions sharing best practices.
Qualifications
- Interior Design, Architecture or Furniture Design degree.
- Strong VectorWorks and Adobe CS skills; 3D rendering skills preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills, quality execution, attention to detail is key.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, contribute ideas, and interact with other departments to obtain information.
- Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Fluent in English; other languages welcome.
