This is a unique moment to join the Sadler’s Wells team as we open a brand-new venue in one of the fastest changing areas of London.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Marketing & Communications team as a Marketing Officer. Our new venue is part of East Bank; one of the largest investments in culture in a generation. Join us in making our newest venue come alive in Stratford, one of London’s fastest changing areas. It’s a chance for an innovative marketeer to bring dance to new audiences.
The Marketing Officer should have a track record of working in either Marketing or Youth/education background. This role will work across many of the Young People’s programmes Sadler’s Wells runs and will recruit new applicants for these programmes. You should be a confident communicator and have a real interest in addressing the barriers around accessing an arts education. You will be a creative and innovative marketer who is confident in creating campaigns that speak to a young audience, with fresh and original ideas.
You will have a good knowledge of dance styles and ideally have an appreciation of hip-hop culture. You will be up to date with current trends in social media, to ensure marketing campaigns remain relevant and speak to the target demographic.
You will be an organised person who can confidently balance a mixed portfolio of work. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and seek out and maximise the potential for collaboration and cross over between our Young People’s Programmes.
This role requires someone who loves engaging with audiences, wants to expand opportunities for young people, and is a dynamic team player.
We are looking for a broadly experienced marketing professional with:
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills (or British Sign Language if primary language)
- A track record of running multimedia campaigns for cultural brands
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Proven project management and planning skills
- Experience in running audience development initiatives and expanding audiences
The postholder will have strong digital marketing knowledge and be able to deliver end-to-end marketing campaigns ranging from educational programmes and project/brand launches, from scoping and inception to review and analysis. Experience of tour marketing would be useful.
We’re a supportive and hardworking team, working on a variety of projects. We have a ‘smarter working’ approach and encourage both on-site and remote working.
Location : candidates will be expected to work across all 4 Sadler’s Wells venues (3 spaces), but the emphasis in this role is Sadler’s Wells East.
Working arrangements : candidates will be expected to be working at least 60% or 3 days of the working week at either Sadler’s Wells East, Sadler’s Wells, and The Peacock. Once Sadler’s Wells East opens, this will be the main base for this role.
