Job Description

About the Role

This role will sit in the payroll team and within Shared Services and will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the UK payroll in house. This role will support the whole monthly payroll cycle within the Workday platform from payroll input, checking and supporting with queries. You will ensure that payroll processes are conducted efficiently whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service.

The Details

  • Maintaining pension, payroll & benefit records, reports, assisting with monthly processing and checking
  • Monthly & ad hoc payments to employees & providers
  • Ensuring accurate Auto-Enrolment and upload of contributions & records to provider each month
  • Assisting the Payroll Manager to ensure compliance with the Pensions Regulator & HMRC
  • Uploading the Benefits, ensuring reports are sent to providers accurately reflecting employee pension & benefit choices
  • Provide Reconciliation reporting for Finance monthly
  • Assist with managing payroll, pension & Benefit related queries
  • Contribute and support the continuous improvement of Payroll systems seeking out opportunities to automate manual processes for greater efficiency and ensuring they underpin our Company values
  • Assist in managing and responding to the Payroll People & Pension inbox queries daily
  • General administrative duties, invoices, purchase orders (PO’s), following up on any queries with Accounts Payable to ensure resolution
  • Work with providers & Treasury to ensure accurate payments each month
  • Regular updates with the PX Admin Team to ensure accurate information processed on time
  • Contribute to Annual calendar events including End of Year, P11D collation, Annual Benefit renewal
  • Liaise with Systems team to build and test Workday system changes and Biannual releases
  • Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies

Qualifications

About You

  • Payroll Administration experience is essential, pension experience an advantage
  • Workday Payroll experience an advantage
  • Excellent administrative skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Team player, with bags of energy and enthusiasm to learn
  • Computer literate with intermediate skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Excel & PowerPoint
  • Aptitude for numbers, data, absorbing vast quantities of information
  • Able to keep information confidential and demonstrate 100% discretion
  • Methodical, accurate and organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload without supervision
  • Confidence in dealing with and talking to stakeholders internally and externally
  • Comfortable managing conflicting priorities therefore must be highly organised and be able to manage last minute requests
  • Good attention to detail and can has the ability to join up the dots when dealing with complex enquiries or adhoc invoices
  • Appreciates confidentiality and Director pressures
