Join Our Team as a Legal Counsel!

If you’ve got a sharp mind, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for providing top-notch legal advice, we want to hear from you! We are seeking a Solicitor who is either newly qualified or has 1-2 years PQE. Experience in a commercial law firm or in-house is highly desirable. In this role, you will work alongside the rest of the Legal and Compliance team and other key stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support in the creation and maintenance of precedent contracts across our company.
  2. Draft, negotiate, and advise on customer and supplier contracts.
  3. Provide general legal advice and research as needed.
  4. Respond to business queries and advise on operational, financial, IT, and HR matters, directors’ duties, intellectual property, and contractual clauses.
  5. Advise on disputes and litigation, including strategic management of disputes and close liaison with the credit control team for debt recovery.
  6. Draft letters before action, payment plan agreements, and court forms using agreed templates.
  7. Assist in managing external counsel and provide guidance on insolvency situations to maximize recovery.

What You Will Need:

  1. Completed Training Contract (or equivalent) at a large regional or national law firm, or in-house.
  2. Qualified solicitor, ideally NQ or 1-2 years PQE with commercial experience.
  3. Experience working with various stakeholders (if in-house) or clients (if private practice).
  4. Familiarity with a broad range of systems and applications.
  5. Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  7. Effective communication skills with key internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  9. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  10. First-class legal knowledge and the ability to interpret policies and advise others.
