Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle BI Developer to join our team in Blackburn.
About the role:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Oracle BI solutions
- Utilize Oracle Data Integration and Oracle BI Classic for reporting and analytics
- Work with Oracle Models and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse to manage and analyze data
- Write and schedule shell scripts (.sh) using Oracle Linux for automating tasks and running .dat files from ERP M3
- Create detailed Oracle Reports for various business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure data integrity and performance optimization within Oracle BI environments
- Help bring data to life within the business – drive a vision of data improving customer & business outcomes
- Understand AI in the Data analysis workspace and how it can drive outcomes
- Optional: Leverage Power BI for additional reporting capabilities
Skills and experience:
- Experience as an Oracle BI Developer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of technologies, including Oracle Data Integration, Oracle BI Classic, Oracle Models, and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
- Proficiency in Oracle Linux, particularly in writing and scheduling shell scripts (.sh)
- Experience with ERP systems and handling data files (knowledge of Infor M3 or similar platforms)
- Ability to create comprehensive Oracle Reports & dashboards including visualisations
- Experience with Power BI would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet objectives
- Confidence to engage with Senior leaders and Business stakeholders
