Long established building contractor who has a large pipeline of work urgently requires a Contract Manager for their busy sites throughout East London and SE London.

The company predominantly builds apartment blocks for Local Authorities and Residential Providers. These will be RC blocks to an affordable specification and built throughout London and Greater London areas. The apartments will generally be between 8 – 18 storeys, and all works are won through competitive tendering and bidding, which they are very successful at given the work in the pipelines. They are a building contractor and work on tight margins (as per the majority of the building contracting market), and need someone who is familiar with managing the construction of residential apartment blocks.

The ideal candidate will be time-served as a Contract Manager. The successful candidate will also have lengthy experience of having worked for a medium-sized Main Contractor and understand the tight margins these types of companies work by. It is imperative that the successful person for this role has a detailed grasp of driving subcontractors to complete the works on time, within budget, and according to the programme.

This is an exciting role for the right individual, one that will be very rewarding and interesting with a good mix of projects. Reporting to the Head of Construction, this role has opportunities to progress with your career as well as have a safe role with excellent continuity of work, as the company has a full pipeline of work for the next 3 years.
