Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working in conjunction with the Executive Leadership Team and key stakeholders, the post holder will provide strategic and operational leadership to support the delivery of safe and high quality services relating to the built environment for MHA residents, members, colleagues, and visitors across all the various sites. The post holder will work with key internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic direction relating to the development and optimisation of the estate and its facilities across the whole of the charity's property portfolio. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the management of all aspects of the property portfolio and its related resources to provide a safe and quality physical support environment. This will include Estates Operations including the Estates Helpdesk, Soft and Hard Facilities Management Services, Statutory Maintenance Compliance Works, Maintenance Capital Works, Construction Commercial Management, Technical Services, Asset Management, Construction Health & Safety, Acquisitions/Disposals and in due course Estates Construction Development and the development and improvements to the charity's ESG credentials. As a member of the MHA Executive Leadership Team the post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the charity's organisational strategy and business plan and will share responsibility for the achievement of the organisation's objectives. They will also develop and implement the charity's Property Asset Management Plan, Property Portfolio Strategy, and other relevant plans. The post holder will ensure that they and their responsibilities align with the organisation's mission and values whilst driving sustainability, efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence. Hybrid working with regular travel to our Central Support office in Derby.
The Successful Applicant
They will have a degree in a construction or property related discipline such as estate management, construction, development or chartered surveying. They will have significant senior leadership experience in a similar position across property and estates. They will have a proven track record of managing large property portfolios. They will have a detailed and working knowledge of property and construction related legislation. They will live and promote MHA's mission and values. They will be a leader demonstrating vision with a collaborative approach to inspire and motivate teams and colleagues.
