Overview

The Spring Insight Programme is a three-day, in-person educational workshop designed to give first year university students a taste of life within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division of Standard Chartered Bank. You will find out exactly what a career with us could look like, with an opportunity to be considered first for our 2026 summer internship programme. Our paid internship programmes, in turn, act as a pipeline into our graduate opportunities.

The 2025 Spring Insight Programme will take place from 15 – 17 April 2025.

Who can apply?

Eligibility criteria for all students are as follows:

  • Any degree discipline
  • First year university students (or second year if on a four-year course)

The Programme

On joining the programme, you will be fully immersed into the banking world, with the opportunity to experience our culture, learn new skills and gain an understanding of the route you might want to take after university.

You will also:

  • Learn about Standard Chartered and our global structure
  • Hear from senior leaders within our Corporate and Investment Bank division which includes Global Banking, Coverage, Markets, and Transaction Banking
  • Meet with current graduates to find out what their day-to-day work looks like
  • Shadow colleagues in different areas of the business
  • Learn how to make an impact as an intern
  • Attend CV review and interview tips sessions with our Early Careers Team
  • Be considered first for our 2026 summer internship programme

You don’t need any specific knowledge or experience of the financial services industry to join our Spring Insight Programme. We are looking for potential. Once we review your application, if you are selected to progress in the process, you will receive an invitation to take an online assessment. The Bank will consider your answers in the assessment when determining whether you will be offered one of the available Spring Insight slots.

The Spring Insight Programme is an unpaid educational workshop; however, travel and accommodation will be reimbursed for students outside of the immediate London area.
