You will be joining a company that has been established for over 15 years. A large Main–Contractor with a Tier 1 outlook, covering the commercial sector on the Construction side, from new build, refurb & Cut and carve.

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years of experience in a health and safety capacity, ideally within the construction industry, ideally for a main contractor.
2. Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualification is preferred.
5. Construction–relevant certification is desirable but not essential.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.
7. Full UK driving licence.
8. Office based – with weekly London site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and support the development of Health & Safety procedures.
2. Review, and maintain policies, procedures, guidance, forms and records.
3. Play a key role in auditing and maintaining ISO and other industry–related accreditations such as CHAS and Construction line.
4. Maintain accurate records for all sites, consisting of risk assessments, method statements and other related documentation.
5. Manage training register and ensure operatives have up–to–date tickets.
6. Record keeping for all accidents/incidents, produce reports and complete RIDDOR reports.
7. Produce management reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
8. Assist in the management of the Approved Sub–Contractor Register.
9. Management of occupational health monitoring scheme and records.
10. Ensure equipment is installed and used safely.
11. Initial preparation of site folders and documentation.
12. Monitor environmental performance.
13. Keep up to date with and maintain a working knowledge of all relevant legislation and update the business on developments that affect our undertakings.
14. Ensure preparation of project Health & Safety folders.
15. Assist Pre–Construction Department with PQQ/ITT Submission for Health & Safety.
